Privacy & how your data is used

The basics you enter (name, age, city), the optional identity and intention fields you choose to fill in, your preference strengths, your answers to daily signal questions, your messages, and a record of interactions like curious, pass, unmatch, block and report.

We store the location precision you pick — city, approximate distance, or region. We do not store or show a street address or GPS coordinates.

Building your Signal Map and Your Undersong, deciding which introductions to consider, and generating the reasoning you read on an introduction.

Answers marked private — orientation, attraction weighting, recreational drug use, your preference strengths — are matching inputs only. They are never shown on your profile or to another person.

The compatibility explanations are generated automatically by comparing your answers with someone else's. It is software making a comparison, not a psychological, medical or therapeutic assessment. It can be wrong, and every dating decision remains yours.

Messages are stored on our servers so you can read them later. They are protected in transit and access-controlled per account. Undersong™ does not use end-to-end encryption, and we will not claim otherwise.

We do not sell your answers or share them with advertisers. Photos are not used as matching inputs.

You can delete your account and the app data we hold for you from Safety & privacy inside the app. Backups and logs may retain traces for a short period before rotating out.
